Hi! My name is James Pope and I am Tidal Consulting.

I attended Northeastern University where studied Management Information System and Entrepreneurship in their College of Business Administration. During my time at Northeastern I Co-Op’ed in Operations Systems at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company in Skillman, NJ, Network Operations at Tyco Healthcare in Mansfield, MA and I interned at Wolf & Co. P.C. in their IT Security Auditing group. All these experiences have help me build an understanding of the ways technology can help and hinder a company.  Well before my time at Northeastern I had a computer support business and I went to Northeastern thinking I was going to discover another path for myself. Once I graduated I knew I wanted to take what I learned and grow my business to include making technology work for business, not just making technology work.

My passion/philosophy is understanding all types of business. When I gain a new client, understanding how they use technology and how that relates to their business, is key.  I want to know what you do for you customer, how you make money and where you are spending money. Armed with that understanding, I want to help you do more for your customer, make more money and spend less money.

I currently live in beautiful Gloucester, Massachusetts with my wife, Stacy. If you live on Cape Ann, I’m the one with the ridiculous looking, blue Smart car.
